what? no baroque music?! for this program, we travel to austria to reimagine what a viennese classical salon might sound like. as europe hangs on the brink of revolution, musical styles are constantly in flux. vienna and music are a bit like pretzels and salt, and it just wouldn’t be a concert of viennese music without some music by mozart. we’ve got the big names you’ve been hearing ’round town and some of the ones you may not have. never mind the hype; either way, from light-hearted mozartian charm to stormy beethovenian fervor, you won’t leave this one thinking you should’ve worn your wig to the party.
