at last, you can make it to venice with us for a program full of guilty pleasures: thrilling virtuosity, dramatic vibrance, and italian flare. italy – the nation of good food, great art, and la dolce vita – gave the world the violin, and venice has long been one of the great fountains that fed the artistic waters of europe. in the absence of royal patronage, public concerts thrived in the iconic canal city, making its music direct, immediate, and accessible in order to draw in the big bucks (a spirit that we intend to manifest for our concert). buckle up for two exciting performances of fiery venetian music for strings and continuo by vivaldi, tartini, and others.
