twisted pearl, deriving its name from a literal interpretation of the word "baroque," is a montréal-based band of exceptional young historically informed musicians that has proven to be an emerging voice in the music communities of québec, canada, and north america. our lively little group, regularly giving shows in montréal, chicago, and beyond, is at the forefront of reviving the composer-performer tradition through our focus on new music in historically informed styles, most of which is composed by members of the band. since 2022, we've transformed our passion for old music into a uniquely contemporary experience that embodies our vision of music as a communal pursuit - a beautiful gift meant to be shared near wine and food, in the home, and with friends!
