no type of chamber music is more ubiquitous to the baroque era than the trio sonata, a work for three parts (the harpsichord and cello play the same part) that balances slow with fast, soft with loud, cheerful with melancholy, and high with low. here, hannah flanigan, jenna krause, zoë douthit, and conor lyons join forces to present some of the wonderful music in this genre, and we suspect you’ll wish that billie eilish wrote trio sonatas too.
