twisted pearl’s final full-scale performance of the season includes some of the more obscure – but undeniably wonderful – pieces from late-baroque england that represent great joy, including the first and fifth of john garth’s beautifully lyrical cello concertos, played masterfully by zoë douthit, and william hayes’ first and only harpsichord concerto, which sparkles in its vivacity at the hands of conor lyons. no program ever could leave us more assured that every person who hears will leave with a smile on their face and a shimmering heart. join us in the ecstasy of great joy.
